(07/12/25) Site Confirmation and Rules Drop #2

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 80 views

Welcome back to the dev blog.

Last month we were able to confirm the site booking for Event 1, which we’re titling “Outpost 23”. The event will be held at Gunman Airsoft – Eversley Alpha in Hampshire, on the 12th – 14th June 2026. Selecting a date has been a surprising complex affair, and navigating all of the clashes in the summer isn’t easy – after all, there are only so many weekends in a year, so it’s impossible to avoid every other event. As an aside, we are pleased to get a date in the summer, with nice long days, and hopefully, decent weather! (I shouldn’t have said that.)

The Frequently Asked Questions has been updated with some of the most popular questions from our Discord server, and you can find in here details about bookings for players and crew, and other details about the event.

In the mean-time, we’ve been continuing hard at work behind the scenes on game design. We originally set out with an intention of doing a sort of ‘rules drop’ every couple of weeks, but in-fact we found that to ensure cohesiveness in the rules, we needed to work up a lot of game systems in parallel. The result is some much larger, less regular drops, but with much greater level of confidence and maturity in those rules.

In this drop you’ll find:

Over this past weekend, we’ve also firmed up the skills that will be available at character creation, the career requirements for them, and their associated Skill Point cost. You can see below our chief rules reviewer meticulously scrutinising these (between fighting pencils).

Over the next week or so, we’ll get these all typed up and made available in the knowledge base – at which point we’ll open for bookings for the event. Ultimately, we don’t want to take bookings for players to then discover that the rules don’t align with your expectations, so pushing back opening bookings slightly leaves us all in a better place.

Have a click through the new rules, and as always, drop by the Discord to ask questions in #ask-the-game-team, or drop us a DM on our socials.
