The Araksa are a highly intelligent, and focused member species of the federation. Owing to their relatively short life-spans (typically 20-30 standard Federation cycles), Araksa society heavily revolves around direct contributions to society, and many Araksa dedicate their lives to the pursuit of noble causes, early in their lives.

Inquisitive and extremely direct in nature, Araksa are often found in positions of some of the most distinguished scientists, engineers and medical professionals. 

Araksa are insectoid in appearance, often sporting antenna, large or multiple eyes, and other features that make them highly adapted to the diverse environments across Arak. In particular, some Araksa have developed extremely hardened carapaces, which make them exceedingly resilient combatants.

Species Perk:
Araksa have heightened awareness of their surroundings, and have an innate unconscious sense of safety and danger.
Araksa characters may get advanced warning of impending danger, and may Ask a Ref if they feel something might be dangerous. Note that the answer will be a ‘sense’ and accuracy under all circumstances is not guaranteed.
