“Drift is set in a dark future, where the bold vision of a future of galactic co-operation in a post-scarcity society, meets the cold isolation of the endless void.”

It’s been almost 250 standard Sol cycles since Atticus Kade launched his Drift Drive, unshackling humanity from the restraints of relativity, as it spread to the outer reaches of the milky way. In the spirit of exploration, humanity encountered numerous alien species and societies, forming the Galactic Federation of Core Worlds; inhabiting countless worlds across the fringes of explored space.

But this Golden Age was not to last – faced with annihilation at the hands of Soren Halvik’s Synthetics, the federation turned its attention from exploration, to self-preservation; abandoning the outer colonies to their fate. Raiders, faceless mega-corporations and underworld gangs rule these sectors. Doomsday occultists preach the coming end, and spacecraft disappear without trace.

Welcome to Drift.
