Onyx Dynamics is a hyper-militaristic company that specialises in personal defence shields, combat vessels and weaponry.

Known for their prominent colour scheme of purple, black and merlot red used for their equipment, Onyx Dynamics have a reputation of command and respect echoed throughout the many galaxies with the tales of many war heroes carrying Onyx equipment serving as phenomenal advertising, or a warning to others to be wary of those notorious colours on their travels.

Formed by ex-fleet commander Vantice Kisk, a very sharp lady whose acumen has been forged by the fires of the battlefield. Her drive to forge the best arms manufacturing unit came as her experiences were laden with faulty weapons and armour. Thus she decided to change that.

Onyx Dynamics currently own the Haran system, which it uses as both a manufacturing base and a springboard to form a network of “protection” for the 4 neighbouring systems (Cerlas, Durandel, Machilles and Susperro) though they might not enjoy this “protection” as it normally constitutes a large show of force.

Their most notable advancements are as follows:

The Kobold Corvette Class Fighter

This agile combat-focused ship has been manufactured to gain an element of superiority in the vast black of space, with a diverse equipment load from 2-tonne payload torpedoes to basic laser rifles designed to give flexibility to whatever pilots may encounter. Its unique maneuverability has resulted in popularity and success as a dogfighting ship frequently used across a range of different solar systems.

The Manticore Headset

This integrated helmet equipment is revolutionary for the combat environment, with many advancements as a situational HUD system, rifle integration that allows the wearer to see impacts from their weapon system up to 3 miles away, paired with a combi-thermal night vision equipment, allowing the wearer to see thermal signatures in any environment.

The Arachnid Railgun System

This agile railgun system allows for quick user setup in any situation, from shoulder fired to mounted and ready to use in some anti aircraft roles. The Arachnid Railgun System is named so for two reasons; when set up for an anti-aircraft role the weapon deploys 10 wires to keep itself in a constant state of tension to stop micro adjustments from ruining the zeroing, and because the autoloader mechanism found in the butt end of the rifle sounds like chittering as it forces a cartridge into the firing mechanism.
