[DAY 11 – 10:14]
Came in range of an anchor last night and picked up the latest reports. Always impresses me how technologically impressive these things are – terabytes of media, news, messages, downlinked in less than a blink of an eye. A brief reminder that the universe moves on outside of the bubble.
Nothing too interesting… usual Nexus News stuff, yellow alerts for raiders. Message from my sister – she’s settling well in her assignment on Feron Colony.
Only a few days out from Kessler now. Can’t come soon enough.
[DAY 11 – 21:03]
Paid a visit down to our Onyx guests on Deck D today. They’ve got some sort of micro-shuttle down there. Short range, carries a handful of people at most. Some interesting plating on it. They didn’t seem particularly interested in entertaining my curiosity about it.
[DAY 12 – 11:33]
Comms seems to have packed up – noise floor going through the roof as soon as carrier goes on air, or whatever Hank said. Hank and his new best friend, some doctor in something or other physics, think it’s related to our mystery EM signature. They’ve filled my bridge with some sort of sub-space amplifier they’ve cobbled together to log it. They seem pretty excited about it. I’d like my bridge back.

<HABITABILITY ASSESSMENT>
[SYS//SCAN_INIT]
Spectral sweep engaged… parsing stellar output… stable main-sequence star confirmed.
[SYS//ORBITAL_MAP]
Three planetary bodies detected. Two satellites flagged for anomaly review.
[SYS//LIFE_SUPPORT_ASSESSMENT]
Designated: Object 1A. Infrared emissions heightened. Volcanic surface. – FAIL
Designated: Object 2A. Gamma Radiation 16324.23% above threshold. – FAIL
Designated: Object 2B. Surface reflectivity irregular… high chlorophyll signature – PASS
Designated: Object 2C. Mass estimate 88.47% below threshold. Atmosphere void. – FAIL
Designated: Object 3A. Gas giant. Atmospheric pressure estimate unsuitable – FAIL
Analysis of Object 2B
[SYS//ATMOS_ANALYSIS]
Atmosphere composition within habitable thresholds. Oxygen-rich. Trace spores detected.
[SYS//BIOSCAN]
Life signs: abundant. Multicellular. Distributed across 87% of surface.
[SYS//TOPOGRAPHY]
Dominant biome: dense forest canopy. Vertical growth patterns exceed baseline terrestrial norms.
[SYS//HYDROSCAN]
Subsurface water networks extensive. Surface bodies obscured by foliage density.
[SYS//ANOMALY_FLAG]
Energy fluctuations beneath canopy layer. Pattern non-random.
[SYS//CLASSIFICATION]
Habitable moon. Designation updated.
